Also known as the Yellow-Margined Box Turtle, they are omnivorous turtles who will eat a large variety of foods. Adults favor earthworms, frozen pinkies (defrosted), snails, slugs, and fruits like papaya, strawberries and cantalope. These are smaller, active turtles who do quite well outside in warm climates. They are a semi aquatic species and appreciate a shallow water area to soak in.
